Did Ray Charles plan this mission? I'm sure this will deter the other 30,000 ISIS members

Not all 70 are equal. I'm not a huge fan of air-only offensives, but if you kill the right 70 people, it could be pretty damaging.

47 tomahawk missiles @ 569K a pop = $26,743,000

So each militant cost about $382,042.85

ETA: Not saying that is cost effective or ineffective. Just math.

ETA2: NM, that's the cost for a tomahawk land attack missile. My apologies.

You're a little low, I think. I think they're closed to $1.5M per.

Where do these news outlets gather their data from? This strike not only is ongoing, but also just happened only half a day ago.

It's not like they had "TERRORIST" tatt'ed on their chest so how can they quantify these figures exactly?

That and we blew up a shite load of their infrastructure and command capabilities. Body counts are always nice but don't always paint the full picture of the effect of strikes.

Did you imagine that tomahawk strikes in the middle of the desert or on non-descript mudhuts would be accurate. The US military is the best in the world but the perfection some of you imagine is laughable.

Did you not even bother to read the article? It states these attacks were aimed at infrastructure, not personnel. The 70 dead are an added bonus.

It's all relative. If he's a baby killing Marine, he's worth about $buck o five. If he's a pretend Ranger who goes on campaign for Dems like Jesse MacBeth, he's gold, Jerry... gold.

See, the USA gets to decide who is an enemy. When they do so they kill them in shockingly horrible ways and you aren't allowed to question it, or ask for a trial, because "you just have to trust those in charge".

It's rediculous the USA is getting even more blood on its hands for no apparent reason. bashar Assad is a Syrian issue for Syrian people, Isis is a convenient way to drag the USA into another stupid Middle East war.

Nothing good will come of this bloodshed, none. Except for the defense contractors buying themselves Scotch to celebrate the bloodshed, and new contracts.

In my eyes priceless, but if you had to put a figure out there, 600k for life insurance plus the cost of training

Edit: plus benefits for spouse and children. Like schooling and social security. Based on if they have that.

Good point as usual. There is no ISIS or ISIL. They are just figments of the imagination, made up by the Military-Industrial complex to justify more money. Those videos? Fake. The blood was fake. The actors were hired out of the Las Vegas union local. The video was shot out side of Vegas in the desert. The so called horror stories about ISIS atrocities were cooked up by the NSA and published by their lackeys in the state propaganda apparatus.
I am so happy that you are a lone beacon of truth. You have to keep preaching the peace and love message. It's time to disband the military and send the M-I complex into bankruptcy.

Power to the people dude. Power to the people.

you forgot on thing though. Why do people insist on saying 'rediculous' instead of 'ridiculous?' Are they just dumb, or is it a 'thing' now?
