No, he was deemed unworthy before Inversion. That's still a mystery.

No Original Sin ended a month or so before Axis got rolling.

Project. I didn't read Original Sin but I kept up with the general storyline and it didn't impress me. Axis seems to be a game changer though and for more reasons than what I linked earlier.

Well, well, well.. Guess who Marvel is pulling a huge retcon on today and saying they were inhumans all along?

Spoilers for comic readers

I don't care if they're mutants or not as they were always more Avengery to me but I don't like how they did it.

well I've always been in the mutants can be Avengers camp, but that's another topic. The retcon could have been done better, like say Magneto was never a mutant(they might not be able to) and thus his life work was built on a lie. That would be cool.

There are some key humans who are major parts of the X-Men franchise who are owned by Fox so that wouldn't necessarily work.

Bolivar Trask
Grayton Creed
William Striker
Senator Kelly
Cain Marko
etc.

how is the Hulk, not a mutant? Mutation doesn't have to be a "natural" spontaneous occurrence.

In Marvel's comics, those called "mutants" are evolutionary mutants.

Tripps death definitely accomplished what they were going for

I agree. It hit an emotional beat pretty well for a guy that has been criminally underused this season and was only in about 4 episodes last season.

yea he wasn't just turned into stone, he was turned into a pile of gravel... fraid it's all over for him,, too bad it didn't happen to Ward, who deserves it.

Have to say after two seasons this series has really worked out, never expected it to get this good. The Skyesy-KyleCal thread is working out really well, I could see an entire back story from this running for the entirety of next season.

In the end she will finally understand how the grief of her mothers death drove him mad, and he will sacrifice himself to save her, at which point she will unleash an armageddon like beat down with her super powers, on the inhumans who kill him.

This story practically writes itself.

C'mon man, Tripp was a cool background character. Ward is a bad arse you love to hate who is the most interesting character on the show.

Also, when they come back in March, what are the odds Hawkeye makes a guest spot for 2 episodes or so?

I know, it was the right thing to do, killing off a short time character like Lucy Lawless has no meaning,

why I'd like to see him catch a bullet with his nose.

A "Mutant" in the Marvel sense is someone who possesses the "x-gene" that manifests itself naturally either through puberty or a traumatic event.

Not the same as an individual whose "mutation" is artificially triggered. (such as Banner, Johnson, Parker, Richards, etc.)

That's why Franklin Richards is a mutant, but Reed and Sue Richards are not.

That's also why in the MC2 universe, Mayday Parker is a mutant, but her father is not.

yea I know about the whole X-men thing,, the lecture isn't needed, a mutant is still a mutant.

except that in Marvel it isn't, which is kind of the point of the X-Men trope. Hell, Alex Summers refers to it as the "M-word"

Spider-Man is loved by the people living in the 616, Rogue is feared.

ETA: The one thing I hope the MCU doesn't do is make Inhumans feared a la the X-Men.
