I went back and watched the replay and I can not figure out who was supposed to be spying the best running QB in the league. It was apparent we used some mush rush to keep him in the middle of the field. However there wasn't anyone sitting there watching Prescott if he ran

How is that possible that we consistently lined up and left the middle open when we were trying to keep him in the middle of the field

Because the DL doesn't understand gap assignments and the LB's over pursue

We decided to only spy his arse as it ran down the field.

no one on his big runs. That was the problem! They spread 4 and 5 wide on his QB draws and there was no one in the middle so he got the look he wanted and took off. too easy.

If I was charting welter getting washed out and unable to shed blocks I would need several ink pens and extra pieces of paper

This was the game where we actually missed Loston the most. He was great at coming up and thumping runners in the middle of the field

when the ball is snapped, welter runs to the line and engages a lineman. while he is doing that, no one is covering the middle and the red sea parts and my old arse in the stands can run through the hole.

he is slow and makes bad decisions. a recipe for poo

On every 3rd down, I believe EVERYONE watching from the stadium or television was spying Prescott.

Unfortunately I don't think any of our eleven players were watching him.

without a doubt ...
we have never been a disciplined team ... pay attention at the penalties now and over the Miles' years.

What do you mean "now"? haven't they've been much better at not getting penalties, especially pre-snap penalties, which I hope Grimes is responsible for. It was said many times when he was hired that he would cut down on penalties.
