Our offense costs us games

No doubt our defense will give up 600 yards if our offense can't ever move the ball. Plenty of teams move the ball without good offensive lines. It's called a spread offense. Bama throws for over 400 yards with a subpar quarterback. Why can't we? Too many passes at the foot of the wide receiver. At this point what does it matter? Use the pass to set up the run.

Anyway. In all seriousness, how can you expect a defense to make 20 stops a game? It's a fickle balance but the offense has to have some production. I'm not advocating a complete change in the offense or the abandonment of the I Formation. Just a different gameplan than 3 straight runs then punt all game. That drives me to drink more tequila and start more threads.
