Hawaii Helicopter Tours...worth it?

Heading to Oahu and Maui next month and wondering if the $525 one hour helicopter your is worth it. Has anyone done anything like that? Would you do it again?

My parents did helicopters in Hawaii. Flying over active volcanoes was one of the highlights of their trip.
I've never done Hawaii, but we set aside extra money for helicopter tours every time we're in the Smokey's.

I have done helicopter tours over the grand canyon and Vegas. It was worth every penny. Very memorable experience. I can only imagine it would be as nice or better in Hawaii

I've only done the ones here. They're badass. Do it, gives you a whole different perspective.

I did one in Kaui with my girlfriend and her kid. I think it was $600.00 and change.
It was worth it. For the most part a smooth flight. We got right next to the waterfall they used in the scene of Jurassic Park helicopter landing at the dino park. They played the Jurassic Park theme music through our head phones. I thought it was worth it. Seriously, when will you ever do this again in Hawaii?

Absolutely worth it. We used Theodore Calvin. A real professional and an awesome pilot!!

My wife and I did one on our honeymoon. Well worth the money but my wife doesn't recall as her head was buried in my arm the entire time she was so scared we were going to hit the cliffs

I doubt it, we going to the big island, but from what I've read its not worth it.
How long is the actually helicopter ride, shite, we got quoted that much to get flow from Oahu to the big island

Its pretty cool to fly around the islands but dont let them talk you into doing it with the doors off.

Spent time In Kauai recently and it was the highlight of the trip. Highly recommended and worth the $$.

My wife and I did Kauai with the doors off and it was awesome. Lots of fun hanging out with camera on turns. I think the pilot knew we were enjoying it, so he made it a little more wild.
