yea but don't expect much out of him. he averaged 2ypc yesterday and has always been a pretty bad back in general...one of the worse in the NFL imo.

Numbers are skewed because a lot of his carries were in garbage time when the defense knew SD was trying to run out the clock.

He's a work horse RB now on a good offense. You do the math.

yea he was given the opportunity to be that guy in Indy for several years and never did much with the opportunity. He's an average to low end RB2 for a couple more weeks and then once Mathews comes back not even worth a roster spot imo.

i know that but that doesn't mean he was that good last year. I was just wondering how long mathews would be out and if i should start Donald brown. Also didn't know woodhead was seriously injured.

he was 2nd in the league in yards per carry.

in other words, every time he ran the ball he averaged 5.3 yards

So in answer to the OP, definitely worth a roster spot. Not saying he's an automatic start, but with bye weeks coming up and to keep him off another team that lost AP/JC/Ingram/MJD/Mathews/Ray Rice/Martin/Foster/Tate/Moreno/Deangelo.

My point is any time you can add a starting RB you do it. Its more about opportunity than talent at that position.

And he is Averaging 2.0 this year. He didn't have a dominate game yesterday so i was just curious if he could be last year or yesterday DB. Thats why I asked.

At worst he could be decent trade bait for a team hurting at RB.

No brainer then. Im actually starting Brown next week with Lynch on bye. I dont feel too bad about it. He should have a decent work load vs a bad team and hopefully a TD or 3.
