Kinda puts the movie title "It Happened One Night" in perspective.

You see this is what happens when you outlaw this kind of stuff. Now we're so weak as a country we can't even give our kids pudding at lunch

It's like it was a gateway legislation

Nice. If you took this stuff it either killed you or cured you. If it killed you, you were probably a weakling anyway. Now we have people with gluten allergies.

I still have some of my grandfathers homemade cherry bounce "cough syrup" he gave us when we were kids and had a sore throat.

I wonder if back then this was considered "cough syrup", like modern day "herbal incense"

I wonder if they properly extracted the "cannibis indica" and if you could even feel the THC over the chloroform and morohine.

The glaringly absent ingredient is cocaine.

I realize times have changed and we've learned a lot, but they had to have known that all that stuff does is get you one hell of a buzz going. At least Heroin was used as a pain killer. That makes sense. There couldn't have justified that any of those ingredients actually improved your cough. Unless you just couldn't cough when you were passed the f**k out.
