Makes it even more important that we win the division. First step is to get to 2nd place and Carolina losing to the Steelers today definitely helps.

You think 1-2 is a true reflection of SF? Their defense is still pretty good....it's their offense that just needs to get in rhythm...and they will be back in contention soon.

Didn't the Cardinals start like 6-0 a couple years ago and miss the playoffs?

49ers were penalized all day against the Cardinals.

big reason why the Cards won today. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Eagles beat the 49ers next week.

they are playing at home but I don't think it matters

No they will beat each other and what has the 49ers shown to make you think they are guaranteed wild card over us?

They went 4-0 and ended up 5-11.

Did it take Pat self-banning for you to return to this board?

The 1988 Saints looked to return to the playoffs. After starting the season with a loss to their nemesis, the 49ers, the Saints bounced back with a seven-game win streak. After the streak, though, the Saints lost five of their next seven games. They won their last game of the season, against Atlanta, but they missed out on the playoffs due to tiebreakers.
Wasn't the opening loss the game where the Dome Patrol shut down the vaunted 49er offense, but Bobby Drunky could not get into the end zone and only put up 4 FGs... We were ahead 12-10 with about a minute to play and the niners got the ball back -- Montana began driving down the field...

I'll never forget Archie on the radio saying incredulously, "I don't believe it, I don't believe it..."

San Fran is very weak this year. They are not the same. I think they miss the playoffs and fire Harbaugh

Why fire the head coach (yes I know there are issues) that took you to what...3 straight NFC championships and 1 superbowl all because of 1 bad season.

He has a make-shift secondary and is missing 2 all-pros on the defensive side
