Anybody see this yet? From what I've heard it isn't a crappy teen romance movie. More like The Cube meets Lord of the Flies

It was OK. No romance in the movie. Would have preferred more maze running.

Decent movie, teens loved it though. The post-apocalyptic themes are getting a bit tired.

Wife and I liked it a lot, and we are over 45.

It wasn't very good, pass on it. It's really hard to give examples because the whole movie is just meh.

An elaborate copy of Hunger Games.

Nothing to see here, folks.

ETA: Was filmed last summer in Baton Rouge.

Wrong. Kaya Scodelario is in it. That's enough for me to at least redbox it..

Book was released prior to Hunger Games book, so it's not a copy. Movie people are just looking to capitalize off of Hunger Games though by making similar books into movies.

Worst movie I've seen in a while, and barely stayed awake. Saw it with my wife and my 15 year old son, and another couple plus their kid of the same age. All hated it. The previews made it appear like it had a lot more maze action. Dull movie that just draaaaaags. When it became apparent that it sets up for a sequel, we all groaned in unison.

Exact opposite of our experience. Hell, someone up front even clapped.

Will see next one on opening night.

It was okay.
spoikers

The whole "it's a test to find the strongest" angle was pretty weird. I hated the doctor too.
