emailing a powerpoint?

I need to email someone a powerpoint. I have it in a file on my desktop. I'm trying to send with a gmail acct.
it says its too big.

how do I shrink it down?

Cut the pictures and paste as special as jpeg's shirks it a bit. There is also a compression setting in PPt.

Do you have google drive or dropbox installed? You can share a public link that way.

yes, it asked me to put in google drive but I was scared it was going to screw with the power point.
as you can tell stupid at computers.
so I just do that and I can email it as is?

ok I tried to send and now its saying recipient doesn't have google drive. I sent anyway. will they be able to see it?

How big is it?

You should be able to compress the pictures if they are shrunk down. Ppt will preserve the size.

Uh, you should be able to right click -> share -> share -> get shareable link (upper right). Then they can view and download from that link.

Save the file. Go to the folder with the file. Right click. Scroll down to Send. Click and options will open. Send to a compressed file. A new .zip file will now be in the same folder. Send this file to your friend.

This. Plus it will preserve the fonts. If the file you created uses fonts the receiver does not have, they won't see it exactly as you see it.
