Anybody own a pair of Ariats? I have Twisted X and love them but I know some guys who say they won't own another pair beside Ariat.

My twisted x are great. But most of my walking is one office to another. So I couldn't answer to how they perform when walking around all day.

Walked the soles clean off of twisted x in about 3 months tops. All I buy is ariat now. They come pretty much broken in. No insoles required, and they actually hold together pretty well.

Not a fan of ariat personally, I wore mine down quick. Have a pair of tony lama's I really like now.

I wear the workhog waterproof steel toe. Awesome boot but slippery on slippery surfaces when wet.

I work on a rig in south Texas and I wear ariat rig teks. I love them. Comfortable, and have a sole like a red wing so I don't slip and slide everywhere. Only paid 130 for them with next day air shipped to my door.

My twisted x boots are going on strong 2+ years now. I'm on my feet for 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. By far the best boots I've worn. I understand not everybody loves them, but mine have been great

I will only wear tony lama. I think it fits my foot shape better. They are the only not that the heel lining doesn't tear out making almost
Impossible to take off without cutting out the entire liner.

I have a pair of Ariat Workhogs, I am very happy with them. Like someone else said, they come pretty much broken in.

I wear ariats to work in. I've had them about a year and a half and I welded in them and now they get chemicals on them all the time and they're still holding up. I'll probably replace them with more ariats. I got a pair of twisted x to work in but decided I liked them too much to work in.

I have tried several different brands over past 20 years but I always go back to Red Wings. Just make sure you get them wide enough.

Everybody blows out boots differently.

Justin mule hides hold up best for me, but the heels are too soft for somebody who's bow legged or walks cockeyed on concrete.

I used to get about 6 months out of boots no matter what I wore. My Justin's are on about their 3rd pair of soles in 3 years. Good stuff.

Your post makes it look like I said that....

Tony lamas were the worst boots I ever owned.

I am thinking about getting some just for going out boots though. They looked good and were real comfortable. They just blew apart in about 2 months. And they stunk like all mighty hell. The waterproof ones don't breath ANY
