The trade offer is:

Team 1 gives Calvin Johnson
Team 2 gives Le'Veon Bell, Zach Ertz, and Golden Tate

Standard scoring, non-keeper league
2QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE (no flex)

Team 1:
QB: Brady, Cousins, Roethlisberger
RB: Ellington, Ivory, Vereen
WR: Calvin, Patterson, Michael Floyd, Malcom Floyd, DeAndre Hopkins, Reuben Randle
TE: Owen Daniels, Anthony Fasano

Team 2:
QB: Stafford, Romo, Dalton
RB: McCoy, Ball, LBell, Hill
WR: Keenan Allen, Colston, Tate, Terrance Williams, Bowe, Josh Gordon
TE: Julius Thomas, Zach Ertz, Kyle Rudolph

Primary question: Is this trade fair for team 1?

In my option if I was team 1, then yes I would take it

It depends on whether Team 1 thinks Megatron or Le'Veon will score more. TE is upgraded. WR will be inconsistent. Hopefully Floyd, Hopkins, and Tate will pan out?

Team 2 gets an even more solid team. Allen should start producing soon. Colston probably won't have another dud... Why does he have 3 QBs?

Team 2 is set whatever happens to his team.
Team 1 is still chancing all his decisions.

I think it's a fair trade. Now, if it's a smart trade is an entirely different question.

2 QB league. You start 2 every week.

Go on ...

Do you think it's not a smart trade for team 1 or team 2?

Basically it's Calvin for Bell , others are fluff IMO. If I'm team 1 I don't do it.

You think Ertz is fluff when team 1 is starting either Owen Daniels or Anthony Fasano and there's close to nothing on the WW?

Ertz is the 7th overall TE right now based on scoring in this league.

The difference bw ertz and Daniels (or any other mid-tier TE) at end of year will be minimal imo.

PS Daniels is coming off a 2 TD game..

Fluke, IMO. He won't be a reliable starting option.

I don't think I'd want to rely on Patterson, Floyd, and Tate as my three Wr starters every week.

It's a fantastic trade for team 2, because they are giving up a borderline starter at rb, a wr3, and a backup te for the best Wr in fantasy. They are basically trading away bench depth for a star wr1.

For team 1, he's trading a star wr1, for a solid rb1, a wr3, and a slight upgrade at te. It's definitely a fair return for Calvin, but I'm not sure that I'd like my Wr situation after the trade.

I am, but my nephew is team 1. And I'm honestly trying to improve us both. Here's my thinking.

I don't think he has a startable tight end on his roster and there isn't much on the WW.

I also don't like his RB corps. Ellington is injured. Vereen will be up and down based on gameplan/matchup (would be much better if this were PPR), and Ivory is probably a RB2 at best.

I think this would give him a good startable TE, a respectable RB corps with LBell and Ivory (and Ellington once he's healthy), and his WR corps should be able to take the hit.

Bottom line, he's getting a top 4 RB (based on scoring), a top 7 TE, and a WR3 for a top 1 WR.

But if this trade isn't fair to him, then I'll withdraw. I really don't want to hurt his team.

id take the 3 players over Calvin

Bell looks like a top 5 RB. Tate will be a top 20 WR. Ertz will only trend upward, imo.

are the rosters the teams after the trades or before?

You definitely aren't ripping him off. It's a fair trade.

The rosters are before the trade.

So after, the rosters would be:

Team 1:
QB: Brady, Cousins, Roethlisberger
RB: LBell, Ellington, Ivory, Vereen
WR: Tate, Patterson, Michael Floyd, Malcom Floyd, DeAndre Hopkins, Reuben Randle
TE: Zach Ertz, Owen Daniels, Anthony Fasano

Team 2:
QB: Stafford, Romo, Dalton
RB: McCoy, Ball, Hill
WR: Calvin, Keenan Allen, Colston, Terrance Williams, Bowe, Josh Gordon
TE: Julius Thomas, Kyle Rudolph

I made a trade before the season where I gave up Calvin Johnson for L Bell, Michael Floyd, and Terrence West. This was before Tate got hurt. I also had DT88, (auction league). I probably could have given up DT88 at the time. I kind of wish I would have.

You're overvaluating ertz imo. Why are so high on him?

PS team 1 definitely neds a RB though
