From January 1 to August 31 2006, GWB's sinking poll numbers were mentioned on the Evening Network News 124 times.

From January 1 to August 31, 2014, Obama's sinking poll numbers were mentioned on the Evening Network News programs only 9 times.

From Accuracy in the News.

They also report that there was 52 reports on how the "wheels were coming off" the GWB's White House in 2006.

Only 2 reports on the Network News show about the same thing going on with the Obama White House.

Media out to get GWB and trying to defend this liberal POS.

And the media wonders why the public doesn't trust them.

I think you are wrong, the more these scum are exposed, the less weight the public will give their propaganda.

10 years ago no one would have thought CNN, Newsweek etc. etc would be in dire straights, but with alternative media bringing the true facts out, their influence is not only on the wane, but their veracity is now being questioned.

So calling out the lies of the media does do harm to their reputation and shines a light on them.

Oh I agree but you seem to think pointing it out is making a difference. The prez is a sham but no one in the media other than Fox will report it.The ones who oppose him will still oppose him but, to reach the masses, it takes a lot more than just message board threads.

Well we know attack adds work.

So the point I just made explains GWB's biggest problem doesn't it?

If the media were truly unbiased I would be for campaign finance reform.

They won't drop that low due to African Americans supporting him still at over 90% approval. He will drop to mid 30s at the lowest. If the black support was similar to the support numbers of all other groups for Obama his approval would be in 20s already.

I use the media bias issue as a litmus test, the same way I used to use the OJ Simpson verdict as a litmus test. Anybody who doesn't see the media bias I place in the same category as those who think OJ didn't kill his wife.

You are better than this!
Entering their respective final midterms, Bush and Barry's numbers are comparable. Both in decline. Both at ~40%. That FACT is surprising to some in part because "GWB's sinking poll numbers were mentioned on the Evening Network News 124 times, while Obama's sinking poll numbers were mentioned on the Evening Network News programs only 9 times."

So what was your point?

Gotta agree
I'm very careful to I believe anything when the mainstream media reports it. CNN, Fox, MSNBC, and these mainstream news are the worst. The news is total agenda driven propaganda & rating grabs, but some are worse than others. Cough...cough.....MSNBC.........

Some humans just can't behave or be trusted when there's something to be gained. Just look at the things we turn our heads from because a certain player or coach can help our favorite team win ballgames. Politics are no different with this behavior on full display, especially with party bias. There will always be some that cross a line(Do wrong) to help themselves or their causes/teams. Unfortunately for us, the media isn't immune to this.

Except in your analogy, the MSM would claim to be referees, not participants. Crossing a line to "help their team" in that circumstance is very different.

It will be a long, long, fight but constantly standing up with facts over time is key.

The steady drip breaks the rock.

* I believe the players, coaches, politicians, are the participants.
* We the people, the media, and others are the people on the sidelines.

The Media & us can support or argument for their favorite team, players, or party. The media falls into being a fan for either team like us I would think. Suppose politicians & the media have meshed into one these days though. Guess it depends on who's in the White house to what kind of coverage you'll see any given news channel. You know, state run media.... Both our angles/points have been true and are true, and while thinking about this right now. It makes me think, how long have we been lied too? The internet makes stuff confusing at times and muddy things up but it also exposes the lies. It's just hard to find unbiased truth through all the trash though.
