At around 7 p.m. on Monday, a man who identified himself simply as John, ordered his food and handed the cashier $1,000.

“Here is ten $100 bills and I would like to pay everybody else in the line,” Brian LaCrois, the franchise owner said. “For the next hour, he bought everyone’s meal.”

The good deed would help serve 88 customer’s orders. Team leader Duste Wolf says she was stunned when the employee approached her asking what to do.

Management says they ended up giving the gentleman a free meal after giving the large sum of money. He ended up ordering an 8-piece chicken nugget with a Dr. Pepper to drink.

That was nice of them. Saved the guy $6.

Man paid for people to eat fast food.

Hardly anything I would call charity.

Paying for someone's food who can already afford food?

He should have used that 1000 to feed people who truly need it.

Just a pub. Stunt. This will yield him a good return on his $1000 investment.

How does this make Chick Fil A awesome?

This could have easily have been a McDonalds and if it was you wouldn't be saying "This is why the Mac is the BOMB!!!"

I wish it were at a Popeyes and we could see the security footage. Heads would have exploded into a mess.

Chick fil a taking a person's money preforming a random act of kindness is a reason that makes them awesome? You need to up your standards, bud.

I am beginning to think these "pay if forward" stories are just publicity stunts.

Probably because the guy didn't just drop the money and leave, he stayed there for an hour.
