I traded brady and Asiata for Stafford. So about the same. I'm pretty happy about it.

That makes no sense. You had not one, but two.

Rivers will be even more productive since Mathews is out.

Good trade for you...you upgraded Big Ben and IMO kept the better of the two as your back-up. All for guys on the bench...good job

Which one is Big Ben?

2013 stats-
378 comp, 4,478 yards, 32 TD, 11 Int
375 comp, 4,261 yards, 28 TD, 14 Int
371 comp, 4,650 yards, 29 TD, 19 Int

Which one is Stafford? Which one is Rivers?

It's hard to compare two veterans with an up and coming young QB with tons of weopons. Of course Ben's had great seasons and is likely a HOFer. But if I'm guessing who has the better season in 2014-15 (which is what we do in fantasy btw) I'm taking Stafford.

Rivers
Big Ben
Stafford

What's your point?

ETA: Since we're judging 2014 QBs based on their 2013 production, name the point production.

I seriously doubt Big Ben makes it into the HOF.

stafford for big ben and asiata

no you made out well, but since when is rivers not consistent...Stafford will completely shite the bed in 3 or 4 games as he does every year (by his standards)

The OP says the whole reason for the trade is that he wants a "stable" and "steady" QB. He had two. Both are steady and stable. Both are easy top 10 qb's. Both played equally as well or better than Stafford last year. And the whole, "it's 2014" argument doesnt work. They are all on very similar pace again. Point being, it's not really a big upgrade and none of the three are more stable or steady than the others.

I have no idea. That's greek to me because my leagues play by much different scoring systems. But you just made my point. They are all nearly the same.

asiata will disappear after this week and McKinnon will get the job, according to asiata's week 2 performance and noted fantasy guru GynoSandberg

so really it was a straight swap Roethlisberger for Stafford...he wins, but he's a moron for thinking he needed to make a move

I'd still start rivers over Stafford. He rebounded big time last year, was more consistent and seems poised for another big year that nobody will seem to notice.

Big Ben wasn't in 2013.

Sure it does. Lions have upgraded their receiving corps.

We're two games in. ETA: And no they're not. Big Ben's two game average spread out over 16 games: 4656 yards, 208 points. Stafford: 5096 yards, 395 points.

I had Stafford last year and won my league, but the only time I didn't trust starting him was towards the end of the season when he tanked.
