What a nice place to get a quick lunch - friendly service, decent food and all at a very reasonable price.
I had my arse kicked at work this morning so I decide to cruise around north side and enjoy the beautiful day - finally got hungry and stopped at the Daily Press.

You order at a kiosk terminal - and customize your sandwich however you want it (they have salads, spuds, etc as well). I got the combo with Zapps.

Pressed croissant with turkey, lettuce , tomato, onions, mustard, mayo, horseradish.

Yep it was a good quick lunch at a value price. The place was packed with business people, ULM students, stay at home moms, etc.

Ruston is getting one - it will be a hit there.

Had to try them - first time I had ever seen them.

They were not great - but not disgusting either.

Daily Press is definitely legit. I work and live closer to Daily Harvest, which is also extremely strong.

It's in a retired Cheveron on the corner of Forsytge extension and 165, next to the retired Albertsons.

I dont think the extension was built then, there wasnt much on 165 N back then other than the skating rink and The Cock of the Walk with their great cornbread

and the Pirogue North lounge. Who would proudly sell a high schooler a cold beer or 5 to enjoy their video poker game with.
