Would you drop J Hunter TEN for B Quick STL? Its a Dynasty PPR League, and while J Hunter has lots of upside, Quick is a FA and has posted double digits the past 2 weekends and is considered the most consistent wideout in STL right now. What to do...?

I claimed Quick on waivers this morning in my PPR league. Tough to say Hunter won't breakout later in the season. What are your other drop options?

B Marshall, A Boldin, S Smith, M Wheaton. All those other guys are way more consistent, and I think Hunter will probably stay a FA until he proves himself, so I will have time to go back and nab him. Hunter is prime to breakout, but if he didnt do anything against Dallas, I dont know when/if he will.

As a WR5, I'd rather take a chance and keep the upside.

Quick has the same upside (if not more) as Hunter but he is actually producing. I like Hunter but he has become overhyped, especially around these parts.. familiar SEC face and torching the Saints for 2 TDs in the preseason

Kenny Britt has played 86 snaps so far. Has 1 catch, 4 yards, 4 targets. Brian Quick has 100 snaps.14 catches, 173 yards, 18 targets.

I feel the same way Gyno. Quick was also a 2nd round pick and I know Fisher really likes him. He has been rewarded with plenty of targets, even with Austin Davis at QB. I think I am going to do it for now, but keep an eye on Hunter.

ETA: In this league, we have 2 WRs and 2 Flex plays, so I could play the top 4 WRs on any given week. Im thinking I'll roll the dice on Quick for now.

Don't get me wrong, I like Quick. I've considered dropping Hunter for him in my lone PPR league. With that said, in my standards, especially since I'm using neither, because he has much more explosive ability, I'd have to lean towards Hunter. Quick will probably be the more consistent week to week player though so I'd definitely get it.

Quick has greatly outproduced Hunter so far. Quick has as much upside as Hunter.

The only downside with Quick is the OC and Bailey may steal some targets, but Quick is the better player right now.

PPR? I'd take Quick. For the long term... Probably pick up Hunter later in the year. I can't place where Tennessee is going to be this year. Were the 49ers THAT good? Or are the Titans REALLY bad?

Additionally, I think Shaun Hill and the other QB is in a better place to throw completions. I'm under the firm belief StL will draft a first round QB. I don't know what Tennessee is going to do (I don't follow them as closely).

Quick hasn't even been playing football for very long as he is a converted bball player. He has nearly the same measurables as hunter except he's +20lbs

Oh yeah and he's actually tied for 2nd in the NFL in catches and 8th in yards. So maybe his upside is already there and hunter is still boasting his 5/89 through two games

When I spoke to Davis, he talked exclusively about Quick and Britt.

Didn't mention Tavon nor Cook. And it was a solid two minutes on the receiving weapons.

I'm not too familiar with Hunter. What's his appeal? All I know is that fantasy "experts" were slinging around the touchdowns to catches ratio all preseason.

He's a 6'4" 4.4 guy who can jump. Untapped big play potential at this point
