You obviously had some huge arse upsets too (App. State over Mich, Stanford over USC). Navy had beated ND for the first time in 40 years that year as well.

2012 was my favorite, probably because I was living in Las Vegas and betting on games each weekend so it was all exciting even random MAC games

If WVU doesn't lose, the Big Ten would have a much better reputation in regards to the SEC.

Ohio State would have played WVU and probably beaten them handily if Rich Rod's record vs Ohio State is any indication.

Damn, and Florida lost too many close games (outside of UGA). That LSU game with J. Hester , but was fantastic

For excitement, I don't believe you'll find another season that compares. Chaos everywhere. If I'm not mistaken, the University of South Florida was ranked in the Top 5, possibly even as high as #2.

Let that sink in for a moment.

A lot of LSU fans may agree with you, but I'm not sure others fans will.

While 2005 wasn't as good as 2007, it was rather interesting.

Texas/OSU
One of the GOAT ND/MSU matchups
Bush Push
Fresno St./USC
The BCS Bowl Games.

I'm an accused LSU hater, though I don't really care about them, but they were so exciting even off the field

people, including me, trashed miles when he said "we're undefeated in overtime"

The 2OT losses, one on thanksgiving +or- a day or two...anyway, it was a big group of family.

the Florida game, the night USC lost to Stanford, which was also the beginning of Stanford's resurgence, Jim Harbaugh's rise, and was the first time I ever heard "Andrew luck"
ear
LSU was easily the best team that year, and the SEC was nasty

Kentucky had woodson
UGA had Stafford and Moreno
Florida had harvin and tebow
Arkansas had 3 NFL runningbacks

damn what a great year, and it looks better as time passes

Which speaks directly to the OP's point. It isn't like LSU leapfrogged a bunch of teams with fewer losses.

But I guess you're still butthurt about Flynn to Bird, and that's perfectly understandable.

That UK team got to the top 10, IIRC. I loved woodson as a QB
