I remember before the days of widespread t.v. coverage, listening on the radio on Saturday nights. Wherever we were, the radio was on - riding in the old station wagon with my parents on the way back from a Saturday afternoon/evening weddings,or visiting friends, on camping trips, at home. And the announcers would always say "Tigers are moving left to right" (they probably still say that).

I remember going to games with my dad and other family members - they would stop at one of the convenience stores on highway 30 and get pints of whiskey to smuggle in for the adults. And learning by watching my dad how to bargain for tickets outside of the stadium.

I remember the Garyville Wheelbarrow parade after the LSU Tulane game. And how LSU won so often that they had to go to point spreads to see who pushed who.

Anybody else have any special memories?

I remember watching the '01 Sugar and the '03 championship on my grandparents black and white tv when I was like 8 and 9. Yeah I'm a lot younger and spoiled.

Youth tickets in the SW upper deck. My brother and I sat there while parents were in lower bowl right below us. Old brown rented stadium seats.

Loved LSU as a young boy even though my family weren't huge fans. Never brought me to games etc and parents never owned LSU apparel that I recall. Guess you could say LSU was always in my blood somehow. It's the only college I ever considered going to.

I remember when WWL was my lifeline to LSU football, plus the 3 games on the tube and the bowl game assuming we made one. Played the Mississippi schools in Jackson,MS on their home games and went years with the Gumps in Birmingham on their home games. I better shut up, I'm dating myself. Never saw Huey Long or Billy Cannon's run. I'm not that damn old.

I remember leaping off the couch and touching the ceiling as a 13 year old when Warren Morris hit his home run.

I remember later that year deciding not to take up a friend's offer of tickets to the Florida game and losing my mind with bittersweet insanity as we beat the #1 team in the nation.

I remember being in the student section as Skylar Green hauled in Mauck's pass, only moments after Georgia had scored and the entire stadium had chanted LSU for 10 minutes.

First game I attended that I actually remember fully was the overtime win over Miss State 2000. Was 10 years old.

Saw that one on TV. I think that's the most impressive I've ever seen the Tiger Stadium crowd and atmosphere.

Troy Twillie's interception to beat Auburn in 1995

I was only 7, but at that moment I KNEW this whole LSU football thing was my cup of tea.

Another - I remember the huge LSU-Tulane fight at the end of a game in 1984 or 1985. We were walking down the concourse inside the stadium and stopped to watch it on the tv screens in there. Two Greenies had ganged up on a Tiger in one of the end zones and another Tiger (I always want to say Greg Dubroc but I think it's been established it was Shawn Burks) dove through the air and brought both of them down.

I remember watching the games at my grandpas house in New Orleans as a young child and being confused about who was defense and who was offense, I didn't get why they kept switching. The first year I started going to games was 97, when I was 6. The only game I remember though is Florida, mostly because of everyone freaking out. Then I remember the hell that was 98-99 very well, especially 99, and being really sad during most of it. I remember after destroying North Texas I though LSU was gonna be great for some reason, then being depressed the rest of the year. That Arkansas game made me go crazy though, I was so happy.

Then Nick Saban came, and I was probably the happiest 9 year old on the planet. I couldn't believe we won a bowl game and Rohan Davey was my hero. 2001 was even better obviously, and I got to go to the Sugar Bowl which was amazing. 2002, most of what I remember sadly is being in Blacksburg for the arse kicking VT gave us. 2003 I remember sitting in the East suits for the first and only time watching LSU beat Georgia. And finally, my best memory of LSU football ever before becoming a teenager was going to New Orleans to see LSU beat Oklahoma in the championship game. My LSU watching days might have started out rough, but luckily they got amazing very quickly and have been amazing ever since.

I remember my first LSU game against Miami Ohio at age 5 in 2002. I also re,eber the 2003 and 2007 seasons, 2007 still feels like yesterday. I also am happy I got to witness the greatest tiger team of all time in 2011.

My first game (sadly):
On December First of 1973 I was one of 86,598 in Tulane Stadium for the largest crowd in Louisiana State history to ever witness a football game and see the Wave beat the Tigers 14-0.
