Last week I arrived on campus with my tailgate trailer to find that LSU had fenced off our tailgate area. The area was recently sodded and it appears they are trying to protect their fresh grass. Does anyone know who to contact within lsu to enquire about tailgate issues such as this. I'm talking about someone with some authority. Not a college kid who answers the phone. Any advice is much appreciated.

Do you pay for this or is it first come first serve type?

We pay for an overnight trailer pass but the actual location is first come first served.

What do you hope to accomplish? You think they will just change their minds and let you drive and walk all over the area?

Out of curiosity, what type of discussion/resolution are you seeking for this "issue"? LSU doesn't designate any grounds for tailgating, and they certainly have the right to fence off any and all areas as they want. I'm legit curious what your POV is on this, and what you'd like LSU to do about it

Maybe he just wants to ask about an area near it and make sure it wont be roped off this week. Or if his area will be available again this week. I like how everyone in this thread assumes he plans on calling and bitching.

i'm sure he wants to find out how long the area will be blocked off. and if he will be allowed to tailgate on it again one day. or will it be an area that is blocked off for good.

Maybe, but why couldn't "some college kid" provide him with that information? Why does someone have to "have authority" to tell him about how long an area will likely be roped off?

back when the HC parade would run thru tower dr i often called parking and traffic to ask if the street would be blocked off and at what times, same for LSU salutes.

whenever i got a student they never knew the answer and had to get someone else on the phone that actually knew what was going on. he's not that off base.

TDT Godfather and bbap are correct. I'm not calling to bitch. Just curious if this is a permanent change or if the spot will be available again in the future. We have a large tailgate and a lot of people are used to coming there. Finding a new spot will be a fiasco.

The reason I want to speak to someone with authority is because I have already made a few phone calls and spoken to a "college kid who answers the phone" and have gotten no where.

This is the continued effect of Alleva trying to destroy the best gameday atmosphere in the country.
