I know that it is pretty obvious that an undefeated SEC champion would surely be ranked in the top 4, But with USC loosing, it officially keeps bullshite from happening in the scenario that 4 non sec teams somehow get in if there is an undefeated SEC team ranked 5th due to shitty voting. There are 4 non sec teams left that are ahead of us, and 2 of them play each other. The rest of them are all SEC teams, and we will play them in the regular season.

We have a hell of a mountain ahead of us, but mathematically if we win, we are in!

(not sure if the current rankings are for playoff seeding but i am assuming so. Please correct me if i am wrong)

Did you really create a thread stating that an undefeated sec champion belongs in a 4 team playoff?

You are joking right? There isn't a scenario in the world where an undefeated SEC team wouldn't make it.

Would have never guessed that an undefeated SEC team would fail to make the 4 team playoff. Thanks for easing my anxiety. I can sleep better now.

not sure how the playoff seedings work (if computer based or human based),but it could happen it it is human based. The media hates the SEC. They never admit that it is the strongest conference when it clearly is, but yes, i did create a thread stating that if unnecessary bullshite were to happen and somehow there were multiple undefeated teams, we could get left out due to shitty voting.

Just think about how much ESPS/the media sucks Ohio State/Oregon/Florida State/USC's D***. If they were all 4 undefeated, someone could somehow get screwed

just think of the above scenario.

I would never leave an undefeated SEC team out,but like i said, could you really see the voters dropping another undefeated team that they think belongs in the "best conference" that is "superior to the SEC". Because some of those dumbs "experts" dont rank the SEC as the strongest conference.

Nobody thinks the SEC is inferior to another conference in football.

The only way an undefeated Power 5 conference champion gets left out is if all 5 champions are undefeated, and in the unlikely event that happens, it won't be the SEC that's left out.

You don't know much. These polls mean nothing. It is a committee that will select like other college sports. People with sec ties as well as other programs and conferences make up this committee. Never will an sec champ be left out unless we start looking like the big 10. Every media person has said sec is the best conference. I don't know if people hate the sec, but I assure you the sec gets respect from everyone.

Has there ever been 4 undefeated teams before the bowls? Much less 5 of them. This is a pretty crazy hypothetical..

We are not in mathematically. No one is.

Obviously this won't happen, but technically we could win out and the committee could still decide we are not worthy of being in the playoffs.
