Jomax. Best product I've ever used on a house.

Nothing good that you can buy. You want NaOH.

Strips if galvanized steel across the ridge will do it.

There's a company advertised on 104.5 that cleans roofs for around $300.

Had the same problem with my roof. It was algae collecting from the tree over the house. Took a gallon of Clorox and a 2 gallons of water in a sprayer, sprayed, waited a few minutes and pressure washed. Good as new

This is the best advice. The less time you spend fiddling around on your roof the better your roof will be and the better you will be. The next time you put a roof on your house buy darker shingles and you won't notice it. For the record I would never pressure wash shingles.

We used this service to clean ours and they did a great job. It's been a couple of years now and it still looks great.

Out of curiosity, what did they charge you?

He gave us a discount because we were one of his first customers and he was trying to drum up business. For the roof, he charged us about $265; but, we didn't have the whole roof cleaned. Only the north and west facing parts needed it. The rest of it, for some reason, doesn't seem to need it. We also had him do the driveway and the house. Total bill was about $500. I have since seen him around the subdivision doing other houses.

Thanks for the info.

So does he actually use a pressure washer on the roof?
