A Grade 12 student in Lethbridge, Alta., was suspended last week for dealing Pepsi to fellow students out of his locker.

Keenan Shaw was suspended for two days by Winston Churchill high school for selling the soft drink to students, violating a school policy that only permits diet pop on the premises.

You do understand that a school suspension isn't a criminal charge, right?

I remember when I was in middle school, candy was contradband - but there was a guy who had been held back like 3 times who wore a trench coat to school every day and the fricker had it lined with candy for sale. In retrospect - that was fricking hilarious. A trench coat. Seriously.

Of course I do, but it sounds better that way.

That's pretty stupid. Do they not realize that "diet" drinks are actually worse for you than regular soft drinks?

Great, now I've got the mental image of a guy with a trenchcoat screaming "Pepper! Dew! Crush!".

This.

I did the same thing in middle school. The fat kids sure did love their soft drinks after returning from PE

In my middle school the candy broker was Bobby Jindal.

Dude was enterprising as HELL and made an untold fortune marking up now&laters.

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. Granted, the rule is moronic but he knew full well what he was getting into. Maybe he'll learn a lesson and sell them just off school grounds ;)

What's wrong with highs schoolers now a days! When I was a senior I was serving mixed drinks out of my locker to my friends. After football season a Friday did not go by where I wasn't lit shortly after lunch.

Bunch of underachievers.

One of my football teammates tried a form of that while he was in middle school. Whoever found him making vodka-and-Powerade before a school trip was not amused.

This same idiot was also among a group of three alums from my HS who got busted by the cops for possession of black-tar heroin when they came to investigate a report of a stolen computer.

We had a guy get suspended for selling full size snickers for $1.00 each.

He was told to stop or face punishment, but did not and suffered the consequences. I think it was repeat violation to get suspended.
