the 2014 USA Basketball team is about to be the first team ever to win every game by 20+ points in an international tournament.

Pretty impressive.

Davis has been relatively disappointing, IMO, during the knock out round games. Was really hoping for a breakout tourney

He's always getting into foul trouble. I know FIBA rules are little bit stricter, still, that's not good.

Is was a given he'd get two fouls early in this game since they always do that to American bigs.

I dunno. It's tough for any big to get stats on Team USA because they run no offense and it's all about the guards.

Davis did a lot of little things that just don't get noticed. He was the anchor of the best defensive team in the tournament. When you're starting the game with Curry, Harden, Irving, and Faried, that is a hell of an accomplishment. If we want to look at stats, 3 STOCKS in 20 MPG is nuts.

Faried was great (and Boogie was incredible today), but I'm not so sure he was more impressive. Faried out athletes NBA guys. That he did it in FIBA play is not a shock. They blew out Serbia because Irving and Harden went supernova. The defense today was poor. Davis barely played. That's not a coincidence.

Davis did not have a good tournament

If this was the springboard to him being a superstar it didn't have much spring in it

It's a possibility. I don't remember the details at all from last year.

I'd like to see the advanced stats for the tournament. It seems like Davis' usage was shamefully low. I really think Lebron's absence had something to do with that. It was like the guards were allergic to passes.

I'm not hating. I'm looking at it objectively. His numbers were far below what he put up in exhibitions and the group round and he had less impact than in the early games due to foul trouble.

Sorry, not everything is sunshine and puppies. But congrats to him and Monty on gold.
