I remember Cam saying TE's will be a big part in our passing attack this season.........Through 3 games they have had 1 reception for 7 yards( which resulted in a fumble by the way) and the other one was a drop to D. Smith. I'm hoping its not a repeat of last year just at least throw some curl routes or intermediate routes just so the defense has to respect it...... idk but what do i know I'm just spectator

Will never be a big part of the offense as long as Miles is at LSU....it doesn't matter what Cam wants.

No matter what any coach says, TE's won't make a difference in LSU's offense. I wish it wasn't so given the studs we've recruited, but it's true.

Didn't they drop the only pass thrown their way?

Smith dropped a sure 15 yard gain in his hands and dickson fumbled.

three words

super...secret...playbook

I heard Miles blew the dust off of it and passed it down to Cam. He wept. It was magical. Poor Cowbells.

I couldn't care less if we use TE's or not as long as we score points and win games. I will admit that it seems pointless to recruit stud pass catching TE's 2 years in a row and not utilize them at all. As for the game tonight, I take nothing away from it at all. Vanilla offensive plan and second cream puff cupcake team in a row, it's impossible to get ur players totally focused and locked in with MSU on the horizon. The game went exactly how I expected it to go. Next week will be different. I just really hope we start forcing defenses to spread out a little more to give Jennings more options and our line less bodies to block, whether we use the TE's or not.

Gordon Dickson Smith Washington Stokes Jeter, that's 6 tight ends on scholarship to block.

Having Jeter lineup in the backfield to block was an interesting look. I hate that a talent like desean is wasted though.

Tight ends were targeted three times in the first game. Not sure about the last two games, especially tonight since I didn't get to watch much of it.

Travis Dickson was wide open for an easy first down on the interception that Jennings threw right before halftime.

Why do we continue to use so many scholarships on TEs? I know in the past TEs were recruited as big, athletic guys who could transition to Oline or dline talent. The guys we are recruiting most recently are pass catching TEs....who we don't really utilize. I just don't understand what we want the role of the TE position to be at LSU.

We went to the TEs 3 times against Wisky. It was a major flop. Wide open drop that would have went for 40, a fumble, and a 25 yarder down the field that would have resulted in a first (albeit it was decent coverage). These guys have to make a play. TEs are supposed to be QB security blankets, we haven't been secure since Richard Dickson.

I also don't think Miles wants to open it up against OOC foes. While just about every other team will throw it 20-25 times in the first half alone on any cupcake, regardless of the score, Miles would rather run the ball and throw a couple of times to keep the defense honestly.

I know Jennings isn't Mett, but I really hope they open up the playbook for him next week. I see all these young guns slinging all over the field and I think that will really improve our run game. I'd like to see a variety of routes and throwing 25-28 times. we can still run the ball 40-45 times on that.

I've watched all the secondaries in the SEC, and all except LSU are suspect as frick! if they want to crowd the line, just go three wide and pick em apart.
