Hell?

Have not been there in years but remember it being "the Chinese" place. Went last night and although we were eating late the place was scary empty, had 6 entrees at the table and the best thing was the steamed rice. Is this how it is now or did we catch a bad night?

I ate there recently and thought it wasn't very good.

I had lunch at the Mandeville location about a year ago and I thought it was pretty good. I know this has nothing to do with the Hammond location.

I do not recall ever seeing a positive post about the Hammond location.

I went a couple weeks ago during a trip home to see Mom. Haven't been in a couple years, but owner immediately remembered me and we chatted for a while. He even gave me some bottled tong cho sauce because he knows I love that stuff. However, they have not been the same, as the glory days 80's-90's for awhile now. Very sad, because when they were at their best it was hard to find better, anywhere.

that used to be a "nice" place we'd drive 45min from mccomb to go eat in the mid/late 80's

I never understood the love for either location. Just typical Chinese take-out food. And their special cho sauce (or whatever it is) was nothing special.

Back when I went to Southeastern, in the nineties, this was one of the "places" to go to in Hammond.

In speaking with friends that live around the Hammond area, all said it is a former shell of itself and should be avoided today.

Must be a McComb thing because someone from there tried to take me to trey yeun all to find out it was closed on a random wed night

Never eaten that one, but the Mandeville location is the tits. I almost exploded during a luncheon there last week.

It hasn't been good in years. Really sad how far downhill it's gone.

My parents used to take us to eat there from Franklinton back around 92/93 all the time. Used to love that place. Shame it isn't as good now

The kids more or less ran it for years. Now they are older and do their own thing. I think that's the biggest issue.

When I lived in the area in '08, it was great. Hate to hear that it's gone downhill.
