From Frank on Facebook. He's been posting some great looking dishes.

Yessss!!!
Just received confirmation that we WILL have softshells tonight!
These beauties will be arriving this afternoon, just in time for your weekend dining pleasure.
Also stay tuned for a peek at our new beef brisket dish!
This is all-natural, grass-fed beef from the good folks at Two Run Farm in Mississippi.

Probably the richest food I've ever had. Not saying it was bad, but I've never had so many dishes that involved so much butter. On a couple items you couldn't even taste the item because the butter overwhelmed it.

On his personal FB page, LE.
LINK

I've enjoyed all of my meals there and I didn't find all of the items to be buried in butter. I really enjoy the shell beach diet plate. I like he butternut shrimp bisque, but rarely order it because I make it at home. The recipe is on the restaurant site.

We agree on many things, LE.

Every time I've had the shell beach dish, everything on it has varied. I think he's got representative menu on the web, but the one at the restaurant varies from that.

No frozen, farm raised barrimundi, no care.

Frank Brigtsen is a great chef and in his kitchen every night. I first went in 1988 and have been going ever since. His rabbit is the best I've ever had anywhere. He does a lambshank sometime that is great too.

Not all, what about just some? My fiance said the same thing .. her food was drowned in butter. It really was all you could taste, there was no nuance to the food. Maybe I'll go back and get some non-seafood dishes.

The first time I went I enjoyed it. Last time, in January, I had the same experience as you with butter. I felt sick. That has happened to me two other times: Galatoire's and Jacque Imo's.

What about Patagonian tooth fish? Will that, if previously frozen, cross your palate?

Well I'm sure that one a couple above me would prefer it to generic gulf fish. Just don't cook it in butter.
