Dural has put up extraordinary numbers for a receiver who has only caught 6 passes through 2 games this season.
- Those 6 catches have gone for 291 yards and 4 TD.
- His 48.5 yards per reception are 11 more than ANY other FBS player.
- Dural is averaging 25.6 air yards per target, 3rd-best in the FBS.
- His 291 receiving yards through 2 games is an LSU record
- Only one other SEC player has recorded at least 290 receiving yards and 4 TD through 2 games in a season since 2000
- Tennessee's Robert Meachem, who had 297 receiving yards and 4 TD in 2006. HOWEVER, Meachem (13) needed more than TWICE as many receptions as Dural (6) to put up those numbers.

I remember not too long ago that our offense wouldn't throw the ball down the field. Back then I didn't think I'll see the day that one of our wr's would lead college football in ypc. This is great to see.
Thanks Coach Cam

This will open up tons of room for the other WR's and the running game, assuming we can keep this up against SEC defenses.

This cant be overlooked at all. Opponents will see that a corner one on one wont do and they will have to bring help from a safety. This will keep one less guy playing up front to stop the run

We have one of the best developing WR corps in the country. Dural, Quinn, Dupre, and Diarse have a sensational combination of skills and strengths.

No kidding. You should look up and read about the air Coryell offense. Cam runs it really well.

Les is playing chess by doing this. SEC opponents will be so focused on Dural that they'll start doubling him and it will make it easier for our running game and young receivers (and tight ends). Future opponents are going to watch Dural on film and they will have to respect that he's one of the best so they'll start game planning to shut him down which will open it up for Diarse, Dupre, and Quinn.

I was just thinking the same. Focus on Dural and we'll just spread it around or run it at you.

When teams start focusing on Dural is when we will beat the crap out of them. Any team not focused on stopping our running attack is losing sight of the bigger picture. Stopping the run is the only way to cause serious issues to the LSU offense.
Targeting Dural just means the run is better and Quinn catches 6 extra passes.

His performance against Cal in the opener that year though

One thing I never thought I'd see on here. Good to know another Sumner county resident is TD. I don't ever ever remember seeing anything LSU in either Gallatin or H'ville.
