I just watched that espn feel good story about walk ons who worked really hard and eventually got a scholly. A couple of them were announced in front of the team, pretty cool.

Anyway, my question is has LSU ever had a walk on who went on to be big contributor and get a scholly? I sure there has been a kicker or punter but I could be wrong. I've been watching LSU pretty closely for about 15 years and couldn't think of any. Thoughts?

Daniel graff earned a scholarship and was big on kick coverage. Not a major contributor, but he had an impact.

I think Richard Picou was a walk on, he was a linebacker that played a big role in the 70 and 71 Notre Dame games....

I remember watching jay egloff launch himself, on a kickoff, to break up a wedge. Took out the entire wedge by himself and got a concussion for his troubles.
