Said that SP was suspended by Goodell because he was the head coach and even if he did not know what was going on, he should have. Said same test should apply to Goodell on Rice.

what if he did know and didn't want his league to look like it condones domestic abuse?

He'll very possibly be out of a job, if that is so.

I'm cautious about ESPN's coverage of this. The first time in July they were awful and tone deaf and caused serious collateral damage. I wonder if these guys actually hate Goodell and aren't just doing it for good PR and taking stances given to them by the network.

A commissioner should have the same knowledge about what players are doing off the field as a coach should about what is going on in his own locker room with his DC being the ringleader?

surely the 24/7 Michael Sam channel isn't just echoing political stances given to them from higher up.

I don't think ESPN cares what people think, they know people won't stop watching.

when video of the incident exists and the NFL likely had it but denied it, it's a little different, wouldn't you say?

When the case is presented to him and his job is to gather the facts? Maybe I'm crazy, but I'd say yes.

ETA: Nothing is going to happen to Goodell though.

Does Goodell strike you as the kind of guy that looks the other way?

I saw where Schlereth became emotional earlier when talking about the Ray Rice thing.

he's convinced that Roger Goodell and league officials let every fan down as well as the other players and teams.

it didn't look like some fake outrage either.

he was completely serious.

I like Schlereth but he always sees things from the players perspective. He has a healthy contempt for ownership and league executives.

He gathered team powerpoints and cocktail napkins to indict the Saints.

He got enough intel on Dez Bryant to know that his mom is a prostitute.

But he can't gets his hands on a security video to punish an employee who brutally beats women?

I just saw that. He was borderline in tears. And that is not only sad but fricking laughable.

ESPN is so fricking hilarious sometimes. This is one of those times.

Goodell won't lost his job, and he shouldn't IMO. And I hope he doesn't.
