Do you negatively judge the parent(s)? Do you automatically dread the flight even more? And if the baby cries half the time plus, then what?

Or do you just throw in the headphones and move on with your life?

Not necessarily... who knows why they are flying? Maybe it's a family emergency or something?

Absolutely.

That's really the only option.

Hate life and everyone on the plane if the baby cries for any extended period of time.

Parents can't help if they have to be somewhere and they happen to have an infant. Can't leave the child home...

Are you saying parents shouldn't travel until their kids are grown? No vacations for kids?

If it's an infant that's crying it sucks but you can't fault the parents for flying for whatever reason. If it's a bratty 2,3,4,5 year old that's screaming then I judge the parents.

I flew with my son this weekend. And was wondering how much everyone on the plane hated me.

Why would you judge the parents?

Many people don't live near their families now and are spread out all over the country. Why wouldn't they want to visit family with their baby? Might be the only time a grandparent sees their grandchild.

I have compassion for them because traveling anywhere with a baby is difficult. Whatever discomfort you have isn't anything compared to the stress of having an inconsolable infant.

It's funny how people without kids think parents of small children can control how they act.

IMO, a seven year old moving around a lot and bumping the back of my seat is worse than an infant crying.
