Coworker today told me about he and his siblings summoning his mother'a spirit when he was a teen. (She died when he was an infant)
His eyes were watering from emotion, seemed real at least to him.

What do corksoaker's arse and a Ouiji Board have in common?

Well. They are made in China.

Yes! That shite is scary real! Me and a group of girls used a Ouija board. I was watching for awhile and laughing.we were calling for spirits or dead people we knew. I said that it wasn't real and that the girls were moving it. I joined in and it was moving on its own! Whatever it spelled one girl would write it down. When it spelled Beelzebub(and several did not know what this word meant), another name for Satan, we grabbed the board and went outside and burned the board.
This was in the mid 90's. I WILL never touch another board again.

It's scary that people think a toy sold at wal-mart and made by Milton Bradley is some sort of conduit to the dead.

I've always been too scared to use one tbh

Not a smart move. Burning it releases all the demons. Good job.

Mouse Trap has more potential to summon the occult.

Never will try that shite. I've had friends go to known haunted places and mess with one. No thanks.

Ouija Boards are nothing more than a cheap parlor trick designed to elicit a thrill from youngsters in that period that they are testing taboos and fear of the unknown.
It's why scary stories and haunted houses and terror games are so popular in that demographic.
We WANT TO BE SCARED!
But in relative safety.
We want that spooky fear...not the fear of being raped or kidnapped or murdered. That safe fear that bogeymen and boggarts provide.
We want to hold on to that fear of the supernatural...because once we lose that...we realize that WE are the only monsters here.

Care to share where these "known" haunted places are?
