Bringing down an empty growler for the Mississippi St. game. What's the best place to get it filled? I am familiar with all the good spots for craft beer, just wasn't sure if they would fill a growler.

Rumor is Chimes is filling again. If not you will have to head out of BR to get it done.

Damn protestants have ruined it for everyone else

I'd drive to Parish and get a growler of GiTM

The Cove got another GITM keg. AND they may fill your growler there.

The chimes is doing them again. They seal it with a heat gun and shrink wrap so it is technically a closed container.

I'm waiting for a grocery store or liquor store here to start growler fills. I know Whole Foods does that in a bunch of their locations. Shoot, there's a grocery in Waveland, Mississippi that fills growlers. Maybe when Rouses comes to town, Calandro's or Matherne's will start selling growlers.

You could get back to your AP roots and come down to Hokus Pokus to get you fill.

i would consider it a major success if i could find GITM. unless they tap a new keg somewhere late next week, i'm sure it will be sold out everywhere.

appreciate all the responses!

They've had it for a while now. Pretty limited selection but it's usually good stuff.

Was really looking forward to trying it this go around, but it seems like I missed it. How often do they make it? And when is the next release of grand reserve?

I like the small selection. Lots of rotation/new stuff and always fresh kegs.

This is how a good craft beer bar should operate. I don't need 89 taps. A dozen solid taps with lots of rotation is preferable to a huge selection.

WF near me only has 3 taps. But it is usually 3 good taps and, like you said, it's always rotating and fresh.

Absolutely. I've said before, my favorite place in Portland has only 8 taps, plus a nice bottle selection. Don't see the need for more, if they do a good job in selecting those taps.
