Where's your fav spot to chow down on free eats?
A few places I enjoyed prior years

Boondock Saint - Turkey & Sausage gumbo, RBnR, fried turkey

R Bar (playoffs) - Popeyes full spread, king cake, donuts, array of Zapps, finger sandwiches, buffalo chicken dip.

Igors (magazine) - sausage w/ peppers n onions, jambalaya

Vous has Indian food

Mid City Yacht club used to be my go to. They did a pot luck on gamedays. Not sure if they still do with all the upgrades.

It used to be pretty good. They make some meat, hotdogs, chips etc. I think the "neighbors" got wind of the free food and they stopped. I haven't been in a while.

No doubt I'm biased, but I enjoy the Indian food at the 'Vous. Sure it's mediocre as far as Indian cuisine is concerned and some of the offerings are unidentifiable. But it hits the spot while drinking, IMO

I may have to give this a shot. I go to another bar in the Quarter, but I don't want to disclose it b/c it's mostly like a family event. Women from Chalmette cooking.
