Due to Penn State’s progress in ensuring athletics dept functions with integrity, NCAA immediately restores football postseason eligibility.

Kind of a shocker

Oh damn. That big for Big 10 playoff hopes. An undefeated Penn State could still go.

Not saying they are good enough, but the rest of the big boys already have a loss or barely beat McNeese.

Because the B1G is sooo bad they need Penn State for the possibility of a high profile Bowl. Has little to do with progress

Also, I like how they dump this right as the Ray Rice story breaks

I don't really have a problem with this but I am surprised they did it.

Well I guess the Big 10 playoff chances just went up a little.

C'mon Trey anyone's who's watched he B1G over the last couple of years knows they're boarding on irrelevance. They can't afford to have a sanctioned Penn State. It's just my opinion but I think profits and power had more to do with this decision than anything

Kind of mixed feelings. On one hand all those responsible are long gone from the program as far as I know, so why punish all these people, especially players, who has nothing to do with it. What happened was pretty horrific though and I thought the sanctions handed down were fair at the time

Not really. (Well for them, yeah - they don't like reversing jack)

But there was so much pressure from all sides that the NCAA fricked up and bought one written opinion hook, line and sinker - and which turned out to be faulty and factually incorrect.

Too bad Paul Dee is dead...maybe they'd reverse the SC bullshite.
