So many on here saying "good for those kids, they weren't there when it happened". Yet, many of these same posters will say "USC deserved what they got".
Not me. The punishment to USC just defies logic. I don't get it at all. IF anything Pete Carroll should be sued for loss revenue to the university.
I would actually like to see the ncaa sued for loss of revenue to the university.
But our administration is not focused on football as much as previous ones were. That's why we got lambasted in the court of public opinion and by the fricks at espin and other media outlets. We just laid there and took it.

In 2001, that was at least the 2nd time he knew of reported inappropriate behavior by Sandusky involving children. His reaction was to not go to law enforcement.
If put in his shoes, I hope my reaction would've been quite different.

It's amazing how the "facts" or rather falsehoods keep being reported and misreported and re-reported...you tell a lie long enough - it becomes fact.
Half of what every indignant poster is crying about in this thread - turned out to be totally false...a total fricking lie.
But nobody wants to report on "correcting the pitchfork hysteria report" - because that would make the media look like sensationalistic boobs.
So congrats...you bought sensationalism hysteria...and now live your life according to those facts...
But never bothered to take a critical view of anything you hear on the news...sheeple.
This is why we get hysteria...sheeple. Everyone just goes crazy. And then like war propaganda...believes it forever. You can never correct them...a lie so big...they won't have it, any refutation goes against themselves personally - because they realize they are the fool...and so just believe all initial story-telling told by ESPN to make a splash...- before any interviews or analysis - before anything.

Penn State not going undefeated. The team isn't very good. They have two converted DT playing on the offensive line. No returning offensive lineman. LSU's 3rd string running back is better then PSU's first string back. About the only thing they got going for them is Hackenberg and a couple of TE's.

. All of PSU didn't do this. The president, coaches, and administration did this. THey are all gone. So...you want to continue punishing everyone else for no reason? Makes sense.
You 24/7 sports talk clowns might not know this, but PSu is a Tier 1 research institution. You arent punishing anyone by taking away football...

If this had happened at LSU, people would protect Les and hold "rallies" just like PSU did proclaiming his innocence and lack of knowledge.
Sure, the mouth breathers like Choctaw. those of us who actually work at the University would be fricking appalled, as would most RATIONAL people.

you do realize them transferring usually puts them behind the pace they were on to graduate, right? Not all credits transfer. Or, you do realize some didn't WANT to leave due to family.
And they could stay, PSU said their scholarships would be honored. I love how you think them playing football is a RIGHT. Let me tell you something, when I was in college swimming at D1 school my program got hit by Title IX. We lost our program, and were allowed to transfer or stay at the school.
Was it fair? no. Such is life. Your moral outrage for the potentially few people who would have needed to stay versus those that would go is pathetic.

Why don't you tell us what really happened, instead of insulting everyone for believing FBI reports?

What Paterno did was disgusting. HE fell in love with what he built and his legacy so much that he did things that were morally disgusting to protect it.
Does that make him a terrible human being? Not IMO.
holy shite. That "morally disgusting" thing was allowing a man to rape children for decades...

Refute the fricking emails documenting Paterno covering for Sandusky. Do it, Mr Paterno Patriot. Do it.
Report the correct, non-sensationalist, non sheeple story. Do it. Come on. You got the facts. Show us.

It's amazing how two years later...everyone just wants to believe the early "who can out scandal each other" news reports.
News reports that are always false in every big story the first couple of days. But for some reason, these have stuck.

No, go ahead say it better. Not one of you has provided anything refuting the enormous coverup, and that yes, your boy Paterno was involved.

Good. Now give them back all of the vacated wins.

Due to Penn State’s progress in ensuring athletics dept functions with integrity, NCAA immediately restores football postseason eligibility. Kind of a shocker
Must resist temptation to compare this to the Ray Rice situation...

media created a false narrative in the Jerry Sandusky scandal, which effectively framed Joe Paterno for crimes he obviously didn't commit and of which he may have had extremely limited knowledge.
Holy shite. These people need to have the school close its doors. It's the only way to be sure...

ETA i never understood punishing the players that had nothjng to do with the shite that happened. makes no logical sense
It makes total logical sense for the NCAA, whose reputation is partially predicated on its member institutions not doing horrible things, to lay down the law with a big neon sign and say
"If you put the welfare of your program above innocent people, we will hurt your program."
It is completely. Logical.

Whoa. This is full-on cult status.

The great thing about it, is that I didn't go looking for that website as proof about how crazy the Paterno Patriots are, he provided it himself with the video he linked.
