As a program, I'm embarrassed at our last 2 losses. Those are 2 programs who usually fold like a cheap chair but against us look stellar and spectacular. He's allowed the shitty defensive staff to waste good offensive years but now this year it seems like the offense is the main problem. I really can't think of multiple games where all facets worked in unison to have a great performance. And lastly, this offensive line should be embarrassed that they call themselves an offensive line

quote:

No, his seat is not hot. However, he is showing signs of being a liar and a snake oil salesman. This team has more holes than swiss cheese yet he wants us to believe different. He tells us McMillan needs to play more, the kid gets in the game, makes a play and we don't see him again. He makes Dontre Wilson out to be an all american and I'm still waiting for him to make someone miss. Meyer has issues with the truth.

quote:

My problem with Urban is that he is completely full of shite. Don't tell me I'm getting a steak to serve me a taco.

quote:

I think the lesson learned hear is to not believe half the stuff Urban says and believe even less of the stories we read hear on Buckeye web sights. All week it was the defense can finally show their stuff against VT but it look like the same thing to me. And Urban talks about getting Rod Smith some valuable carries ( he had 0) and Raekwan into the rotation and I counted 1 play. Don't put frosting on a dog turd and tell me it's a brownie.

That's a lot of whining for losing your first regular season game in years.

People need to step back from a ledge

OSU was not going 15-0 without Braxton and with a new OL. Before the season began, I was positive and hopeful they would only lose 1 (with Braxton), and feel 3-4 is completely possible and almost expected now.

You don't like 9 offensive starters without bumps in the road. The optimist in me said we have good talent and they get practice reps, but practice reps are not the same in any way

The passing D looked improved to me. Not A level 5* like they should with the talent, but 35% better. The run D will be stiff all year

Urban went 7-5 with a bad D in 2007, then won an NC in 2008. There are going to be years where you don't win 11 games

Hard to replace starting QB, especially in a system like Meyers. Has anyone in Ohio seen the Michigan score yet? I mean, it could be worse.

Yep. It's not like the season is over for them. The B1G is up for grabs.

It's not like he's coaching at Bama. Not title bowl games still kind of matter to "The" Ohio State.

Eh....the problem is people don't believe that when you have top 5 talent you won't win titles every year. It takes the right blend of seniors at the right positions, some breaks and the right young guys. Not easy

As an LSU fan double digit wins seem to come pretty easy.

There were more than a few people saying tOSU would not suffer that much of a drop off without Braxton miller. Apparently that analysis was a bit off. Their fans have to be frustrated because the cake walk to the playoffs just took a big hit.

I mean, not many team have had a more successful las 15 years than Ohio State. so you can all you want.

Plus, winning the B1G is essentially meaningless - its like a glorified MAC title.

You are ignorant if you don't think Ohio State hasn't been at a different level than the rest of the Big Ten (besides maybe one other random team each year) when it comes to expectations the past 10 years.

No he didn't. It was a 9-3 regular season with a 3 point loss to AU and a 4 point loss to LSU in back to back weeks.

I don't have the same animosity towards Meyer that a lot of Gators do, but the Meyer of today isn't anywhere near the same guy we hired in 2004, that was obvious from his very first OSU press conference.

I still think he'll be successful, but he needs to get himself some better assistants. At UF he had Strong and Mullen. Right now he had Herman and Fickell, who've been very underwhelming thus far.

I have a ton of animosity towards Meyer.

Whether him or his wife want to admit it or not, Meyer QUIT on Florida after the 2010 season because he let things get in such a bad mess, and didn't wanna fix them.

He dug his grave by letting the players take control of the team in 2009. That is his fault.

But yes you are correct, he is nowhere near the same person when UF hired him back in December 2004.
