Army looking pretty good in the first half against a Buffalo team that was very decent last year, as they are leading 21-3 at halftime. You can see the changes that Monken has made since he took over are working for the Black Knights so far.

Offensively they are running a spread/flex/Wing T option, shifting between the sets fairly well. The passing attack has been quite good as Buffalo is sucked into playing the run.

Defensively Army is being pretty aggressive. Given that they are going to be smaller and slower then most of their opponents they are going to have the roll the dice and take their chances a lot.

In NCAA 14 Army is always going undefeated.

It's good that the service academies are getting better.

They said on gameday that all three service academies are favored today. I wonder when was the last time that happened.

Monken was a great hire, not sure Army could have found a better fit.

They did have quite a few penalties in the first half, you can see they aren't quite settled into their new system, but they are playing with some fire. I expect Buffalo to make some second half adjustments and we will see how will the Cadets do with a lead.

They are benefitting from moving camp so players can work in summer. The Superintendent and COS made a very huge statement about winning.

Don't get me wrong, LTG Caslen is a great leader and I know he means well, but until they figure out an identity for Army football and allow potential pros exemptions like Air Force and Navy do, they will remain behind.

A near Army collapse there as they let Buffalo back in the game at the very end after being up 47-17. They need some work but winning a game like this is better then losing one like this.
