Anyone else think tailgating for a Sam Houston St game is strange?

Think about it

You show up 12 hours early, to sit in a parking lot in 97 degree heat.

For a game that most people will leave at halftime.

You haul out thousands of dollars worth of tailgating gear

Maybe I'm getting old but I just don't see the point.

I do enjoy a little tailgating when the weather cools down and the SEC schedule cranks up

Tailgating is the type of thing I like to do well or not at all. If it's a big game, I will have a beer open at 6 in the morning. But I agree on crappy games.

Pretty much the same idea as having an outdoor kitchen in south Louisiana..why leave the indoors to cook in blistering heat is beyond me.

Tailgating practice, make sure everything is ready when it matters.

With that attitude, it's no wonder you weren't invited.

I haven't tailgated a home opener since Va Tech. The games are always garbage and it's entirely too hot to be sitting in a parking lot. Schedule decent games and I'll think about it for LSU.

It's all about the process, not the end result

Most people leave at or before halftime for almost every game.
