He's good with deep ball coverage. If we can leave him one on one, and roll coverage elsewhere, that would be huge.

He held up pretty well last year game one with practically no safety help.

This is where rob ryan and sean payton will excel at hiding their byrd and byrd being able to penetrate zones that have not been covered in a long time.

without tony gonzalez and roddy white clearly a "shell of his former self" I'm curious to see how awesome Julio looks this year.

do we play more 2 or 3 man safeties? Because if it's two and Julio is still just as effective as always, they're going to have be really disciplined and play well.

byrd...check
vacccaro...plays aggressive, and gave up a couple of big plays last year, but I'm hoping for a big leap in his zone abilities this year

I would expect some early play action and down field shots to try a get up early and get the Saints pass happy and off the run.

let Vaccaro roam and let bryd do what he does well and roam deep and playing matty ice's eyes.

But the Saints quit listening to me weeks ago so I don't know.

early play action

I'm not sure how effective that's going to be. Sjax's best game may have been week 1 last year. Their running game is in the toilet

"the key two the game is you gotta look at that turnova rashio. We gotta get in that plus terriroi. if falcons get a turnova, that means that we gotta get like too or three or like for turnovas to get in that plus territori. If we can do that, i like our chanses of winning the game."

If I had Roddy and Julio I damn sure would. I wonder on 3 and 5 if matty will throw to that empty spot where Tony used to be

I hope so, he looked like his tank was empty last year, pre and post injury

I'm pretty confident he can handle any receiver in the league one on one. I've always been impressed with him.

I'm confident no CB, except Revis, can handle Julio 1 on 1

He's a special player. However, if we need to give him extra attention so what, they're line is junk, they have no ground game and their best RZ threat and most consistent chain mover is gone. RW isn't intimidating anyone.

If you remember Vaccaro was basically man up on Tony G most of both games. Now that he's gone you can let him roam or put him on Douglas to shut him down, leaving Roddy to get the double teams with PRob and Byrd over the top(also spying on Julio).

I feel like Tony's absence is being completely ignored by almost everyone. That offense is going to take a huge hit without him drawing coverage in the middle or opposite of Julio.

Jones' Stats 2013

Jones also had his "worst" game against us last year minus the TD. 2nd fewest receptions, least amount of yards, and lowest average ypc with his long being only 22 yards.

jones should be getting the extra attention...roddy isn't a playmaker like Julio is, and he's trending downward.

not over here, but while it isn't mentioned a whole lot, the expectations for this year are pretty low, and I think that's a big reason why. I don't care how old he was, tony G sucked defenders in the middle of the field towards him...he was a beast, and like I said a frustrating chain mover.

he gone he gone
