My parents, who live in very rural LA, love that a Dollar General opened down the road from their house. No more 30 minute trips to "town" for ketchup. It's like a mini Wal Mart. It has almost everything. It even has an organic meat section

Dollar General is like high class to Dollar Tree, where "Everything's a dollar!". Dollar Tree has mostly really cheap stuff and off-brands, or small packages of name-brand stuff like mini canisters of Fritos.

I will admit that I've purchased some food items from Dollar Tree (maple tree cookies FTW!), but I don't know about a $1 ribeye.

They charge $1/ounce.

I'm just making that up. I hope they charge $1/steak.

I bought some for my brother in law at christmas. They were paper thin and didn't take long to sear

It smelled like meat....
