City of Baker speeding camera ticket.....

So I read several posts about this from a few years back: traffic camera takes a picture of my car supposedly speeding through Baker, sends me a form ticket for $40. They don't have my face, my drivers license number, my social security number, or anything else----just a picture of my car and a fine. I ignored it, and just recently received the "collection" letter from the law offices of Putz, Douche, and Penislike. The fine is now $115.
I know they can't press any type of criminal charges. Can they submit this debt---one that I did NOT agree to or enter into a contractual agreement regarding----to the credit bureaus? I have nearly perfect credit, and this is a bunch of crap......help, please?

I ignore unenforceable, unconstitutional, unproven allegations issued by computer citation (rather than a uniformed officer of the law) that violate my civil rights....this wasn't my mortgage or the new drapes I bought from Pier One, Hoss.

Hate those fricking things, my latest was one they set at the bottom of a steep dip. The speed decreased for about 100 feet, an obvious trap. It won't damage you credit much, but you will have to pay it off before purchasing a house, might as well make payments, crooked as it is.

I still can't believe that people don't vandalize these damn things. If they were tagged with black spray paint immediately and repeatedly they'd have been out of our lives by now.

They CAN, but all you have to do is call the credit bureau and demand a copy of the promissory note... They will subsequently remove it from your credit.

So there is nothing binding me to this debt. The Fair Debt Collection Practices of the Federal Trade Commission is pretty clear on what constitutes "valid debt" and what does not.

Speeding is a moving violation committed by an individual, not by a car. That could have been Betty White driving my Nissan. Regardless, I was not issued a ticket/summons by a police officer, and I never signed any document acknowledging receipt.

I honestly have no idea because I didn't keep them. The envelope was from the City of Baker.

Those cameras are unconstitutional. You have the right to face your accuser in court, and in this instance, your accuser is a camera. I have a friend who is a police officer and he even explained why its unconstitutional. Most people just want to pay it to get it done and over with.

I believe it was in Dallas that I read only 50% of those things get paid and the camera company was considering shutting them down because they weren't making enough money.

These are CIVIL charges, not criminal.
Now, here's the Sixth Amendment. Let's see if you're smart enough to put two and two together:

Another misconception. Under Texas law, it is illegal for the "camera companies" to get a per-ticket fee. If they give one ticket or a thousand a day, they get the same amount of money.
