1. If dude wants to pop a Molly at a party in the off-season, ain't nobody's damn business.

2. Performance enhancer? Seriously, what in the frick? Should vodka be a performance enhancer as well?

Well, I'm pretty sure its the League's and the NFLPA's business, because they agreed to it.

same thing happened to Orlando Scandrick. I'm secretly happy that it happened to a bigger name so it gets more coverage. hopefully the next CBA will address the issue

I don't know why the NFLPA went along with those penalties. And why an owner would give two shits what recreational drugs players take in the off-season. Abusing prescription painkillers and alcohol are probably a lot worse for you than pot and party drugs.

Pretty sure it is horseshite too.

Probably 75% of the nfl excluding kickers and qbs is juiced up. And welker gets suspended for PED for partying under the PED policy?

Laughable.

1. It is the business of his employer. He signed a contract that forbid him from doing this. I hate people who just downplay it. He broke the fricking rules. Pay the price.

2. Amphetamines are classified as a performance enhancer. Again, it is in the league rules.

If your employee's performance was so totally dependent on his physical athletic ability, you'd probably disagree

The problem is the NFL is more worried about rec drugs than performance enhancing like HGH and other steroids that are not being tested.

Couple things:
1) He denies he took molly
2) The NFL doesnt say what the violation was for. It could be anything. The molly reports are coming from the media.

The NFL and NFLPA are supposed to have been working on putting together a new revised drug policy. Apparently, the NFLPA has been reluctant to go along with the proposed testing of HGH which has delayed the new policy.

This is just another example of players (and two WRs at that) getting screwed because the NFL and NFLPA can't get together on an updated drug abuse policy.
