It's definitely a dumb policy given the way the league has no problem handing out prescription painkillers like they're candy without repercussion. But as said, it's one that was agreed to by the NFL and the player's union.

Pretty sure his point is that the rules should be changed.

I think you are confused about what a Thug POS is if you consider someone rolling to be a thug. Such ignorance.

"its the rule". Blah blah.

Rule is dumb as shite which is my entire point.

Can't stand people who think that way. Challenge stupidity. Don't just accept it.

yea, it's a good look for the league to have its players doing illegal drugs. They should only be illegal during the season though?

why does the NFL have to serve as a court of law? the only reason the public is even aware that Welker took anything is because of the league office. Seems counterproductive if your concern is a "good look" for the league

The funny thing is numerous NFL, NBA, and other professional athletes attend the Derby. If Welker was popping Molly he was definitely not the only one the way the celebs party here when they're in town.

A buddy of mine used to work in TV in Louisville. He was at a Derby party a few years ago and ended up hanging out with Kid Rock. Kid Rock pulled some pills out of his jeans pocket and offered them to the guy. "I don't know what they were, but they made me feel good!" was his quote.

"Illegal drugs". I would wager half the population does them at some point.

why are you quoting it? It's illegal. And the NFL drug tests for it. That might be a hint that you shouldnt do it.

I think they should focus more on the PEDs than recreational drugs.

So what should they do? Let him sit out 4 games and not tell anyone why?

they serve as teh court of law because they are the boss. And the players sign the CBA that allows the league to suspend them for shite like this.

i dont know a thing about molly or is composition, but if it shows up as an amphetamine in a drug test, then that is considered a PED

Or just not do anything for failed drug tests for recreational drugs. If someone has a serious problem, handle it internally. If someone gets into criminal trouble because of it, it has then become a black eye for the league. Then I have no problem with a fine and suspension.

If they find he was using an amphetamine to enhance his performance, fine. If they find he was just partying, who gives a shite?

I'm just waiting patiently for his wife to tweet how great of a role model he is and how proud of him she is again!

I know its petty, but you have to love the irony here.

His wife blast Ray Lewis, despite Welker's previous run ins and now this.

I just love it!

I know, i'm a sad little man!
