We used to have a huge tailgate until about 5 years ago when everyone reached that age of having kids. Now the kids are getting a lil older and we're bringing it back.

Just wondering what everyone was using for their various tailgates. And if there's some new cool gadgets I can add. TV? Music? Generator? Etc

GENERATOR: Just bought a honda eu2000 generator. How much will this actually run? Need it to run TV, box, stereo, fans, maybe a crockpot or 2(those bastards suck up some juice)

TV: 42 with directv dish

MUSIC: Still gonna be using our old arse setup. Wondering what y'all thoughts are on sound systems like those all in one loud speakers?

What about keeping cool? Any ingenious ideas out there?

Just looking to compare notes/experiences

TV with that Tailgate Package/Satellite from Dish and speakers with sound board and AUX cable is all the setup we have at our tailgate along with a few tents, grill, chairs, and tables.

no need to get super complicated. just have enough to keep yourself occupied and well-boozed up...

theres a lot to be said for this statement, lol. We used to have all kinds of shite. Our big tailgate broke up about 10 years ago. Then I got 2 passes in lot A but only brought what would fit in my SUV. That was a lot better

Should be just fine. I've run multiple fans with misters, a TV, small fridge, and satellite off of it at once.

IF the wifi improves (or in a good location near buildings) you can use tablets in lieu of satellite. I'd recommend a Roku (or similar). Can get watch ESPN and it's cheaper than a tablet, smaller too so chances of getting stolen are less. Can get various music channels also, including live radio with iHeart radio (for free) for music.

I also have the Honda eu2000. I run....
32 inch led HDTV
DISH Network box
Two of these fans LINK
ION Tailgater speaker
LED lights

Unless you're looking for a huge DJ setup and/or don't like your tailgating neighbors, I really recommend the tailgater speaker. I like the people who tailgate near us, so the single speaker puts out more than enough sound for my little group. I also hook it up to the TV for great sound when people staying behind watch the game. Our group is older and more family orientated, so were not trying to throw a dance party.

Also the fans we use are awesome. You'd be surprised at how much wind those things put out.

There's a mens and women's restroom with hand washing stations within a 2 minute walk from where I setup.

Just looked at dish network's tailgater that someone else was sayin they had in another thread. There's one that u can buy that is compatible with dish or dtv. That's nice. Hate trying to get a signal on that dish. I did buy a signal meter though.

I guess an amp of some kind. You could just send the signal from your phone.

Exactly. Plus you get mics. You can do your own broadcast and pump everyone up.
