Arguments at tailgates usually go like this

"Hey, it's time to go"
"Ok, just one more beer. I promise. I love you"
20 minutes later...
"Hey, it's time to go"
"Ok, just one more beer. I promise. I love you"

my tailgate kinda got out of hand and I found myself working entirely too hard all week and on gameday, so I downsized it over the past couple of years...

I now just have a tent and a camping table that I set up...along with the space on the tailgate of my truck, I have plenty of room to do everything that is necessary...

for power, I use a deep cycle battery and inverter to run a 26" tv...it has never run down over the course of a day...

for cooking, I either use a charcoal weber grill or a butane tank/burner depending on the time of year and food that we want to cook...

We use our I phones hooked up through HDMI cable for tv reception. No problems getting almost any games and we don't have to pack n carry satellite

GENERATOR: Just bought a honda eu2000 generator. How much will this actually run? Need it to run TV, box, stereo, fans, maybe a crockpot or 2(those bastards suck up some juice)
count your watts. Also, anything that generates heat(rice cooker, crockpot, ect.) will use a ton of watts. If you cut down on the electric heat generating items, you should be able to run everything you want.

yeah a fryer is really gonna pull that honda. that's the generator we have and it's pretty quiet but when you hook things like a fryer to it, it sounds like it wants to take off.

still works tho.

Not trying to hijack but, I have a question about TV setup.

I have my antenna that works fine but doesn't get a lot of channels. Gets the main ones we need but Id like some variety.

I also have the Dish anywhere app that I can run to the tv. I have a note 3 with the HDMI adapter.

My question is does anyone know if the signal out there is reliable enough to use the app instead of the antenna?

We use a laptop running mediamonkey for music and dish network tailgater for tv. Run both into a dj mixer so we can have both music and sound of the games. Have a mic, but don't use it often.

I use the Ion tailgater for baseball tailgates. It's pretty amazing. I've brought it to the cottages pool a few times and I can DJ for the entire complex with it. It has a 40 hr battery life and you can attach an iphone charger to it so you won't run out of power. It's pretty amazing.
