Rove has gotten this vicious strategy down:

Take your opponent's greatest strength (Landrieu's tenure and influence in DC) and turn it against them.

I hope it doesn't work but he's made a very nice living off of doing this to Richards, Gore, Kerry, and others.

It's the "Swift Boat" strategy. Kerry actually served in the Vietnam War, was injured several times, and somehow Rove made Bush the dodger the "hero" and Kerry the hero the "liar". Was incredible to watch. One of the most amazing political strikes in history.

It's politics.

Her problem is she thinks she can ignore the average Louisianan one votes like Obama Care, and then bribe us with "she brings home the bacon".

But I think this Ad is playing on the WaPo story about her residence.

The Reps are a couple of laps behind the Dems when it comes to viciousness. Hell, that's what cost the Reps the last election. They weren't vicious enough.

Nothing in that ad is vicious, just exposing the past in the present for the future.

"Evil Karl Rove", "Evil Koch Bros"

This from the same bunch of cretins that had no issue with the Senate majority leader questioning a candidate's tax filings on the senate floor.

Quit being pussies

I don't care if Mary is running against a port-a-john. I'm voting against her.

This. It's disgusting what they did to Kerry. shite all over a decorated veteran's record for a political win. And not one of the Swiftboat Veterans actually knew Kerry. The Vets who served with Kerry and on his boat had nothing but great things to say about him.

Arlo: I know you were laughing at this one.

I'm pretty sure Benedict Arnold sustained minor injuries during the Revolution. I don't know if they were as severe an injury as the vicious paper cut Kerry suffered though.

That was until he defected to the Brits, and told the press how the US soldiers were acting in the manner of "Jingus Kahn".

Ask Thad Cochran if Rove is irrelevant.

I'm not a huge fan of Rove. He's too establishment for me. But to deny he has political skills is just ridiculous.

Couldnt disagree more. You have to appeal to the middle to win, and only the far right responds to nasty politics.

Reps are laps behind when it comes to effectiveness, not viciousness.
