Apple closed off sidewalks and built a number of privacy fences to keep the area hidden, but this latest video taken with a DJI Phantom 2 drone and GoPro camera goes above the site to show an assortment of vehicles and materials helping to build Apple's newest campus. Previous photos showed initial work on the site's walls and deep trenches for what was said to be "underground tunnels." The site was once the home of Hewlett Packard's former offices, which were vacated and demolished by Apple ahead of its initial work on its Campus 2 project.

Video in link

Makes me want to buy GoPro stock as these things become more common going forward.

Must have been a windless day. That was one smooth video.

The underground tunnels are just service tunnels. Nothing sinister.

Cool video and it looks like a bad arse building in the making. Dude would be in jail if this happened in a Louisiana.

Area looks like a section of the deathstar. Probably be pretty neat when finished.

5 billion dollar apple spaceship campus

i cant say those words without laughing out loud..particularly with Jobs' obsession over how polished everything needed to be and all the custom curved glass that can only be done in one place in the world...probably cost an extra billion to construct just because he's got a hard-on for terrazzo.

Please post statute. Last week we used a drone in downtown BR for a parking study that was all over the media, and never got arrested or even approached by the fuzz.

That's because it was sanctioned. Try spying on a mega-corporation's secretive $5b construction site and see how that goes.

I would like to see a statute in place that would outlaw this. I'm not saying that I think it's okay or not, I just don't think we have any legislation in place to prohibit this kind of thing.

Art's buddy has a drone he flies over BCC sometimes.

Hooks his phone up to it and records video. Pretty sweet.
