I am more understanding of FB because of contributing on special teams.

Really wanted Warren on the team

Obviously they like Griffin but arent ready to trust him if the #2 was thrust into action. At the same time, they dont want to lose him.

The FB thing is dumb. If you are keeping an extra for ST, you might as well keep Warren to do the same thing.

Seems likely Lorig will be IR'd w/ designation to return.

Don't really understand keeping 3 QBs. I mean, I do, but meh. Griffin isn't the QB of the future, and never has been, but I think he could be a good backup, even if he needs some more time to get there. We are screwed regardless if Brees goes down. Just cut McCown to save us the space.

Seems like everyone pretty much thought we would keep 3, personally I hate to waste the roster spot.

The 3 QBs bothers me somewhat, just because we learned in the first game we are fricked if Brees goes down. So I don't really give a shite if they kept McCown or Griffin, just not both.

The FB, I understand, simply because Lorig is not healthy yet. After that, they can put Johnson on PS.

But after the two deep, first 44 players, the rest/leftovers usually take turns being inactive.

Which brings me to our secondary. We don't have quality two deep there. We have one pro-bowl-ish player there in Keenan Lewis, then there is a huge drop off. P-Rob is soft as shite. Corey White is strictly a NB, and consistently fails on the outside. SJB has shown nothing this preseason. Brian Dixon has been a mixed bag.

The 2 FBs shock me more than the 3 field generals

Like it's been said, Lorig will more than likely be put on IR Tuesday with the designation to return. That can't be done until then. Also why I think we cut both kickers(but will almost certainly bring one of those two back).

Not shocked at all about QB because McCown was clearly in the lead all offseason(with the coaches; I know fans only look at preseason) and Payton really likes Griffin's potential. I said I disagree with the decision but definitely saw it coming.

I'm a bit surprised that since we only went with 5 WRs we kept an extra LB instead of Warren. Fortt has been hurt and Powell hasn't shown much.

BUT Warren was pretty much a non-factor on special teams and as a 6th safety that would have been a big no no.

There is absolutely no reason to keep Griffin... McCown is an adequate emergency backup.

I agree but Payton wants him. Nothing we can do about it.

I still think they should just IR him and save this tag in case someone gets a semi serious injury in first half of season.

What are the chances that a FB that has never been on team before this season comes in halfway through season, having missed the bulk of training camp, and makes any impact at all

I am shocked McCown made the team. I guess coaches were not comfortable with griffin yet.
