May help them learn some toughness

Wonder what he'd have said had the Saints not matched the offer sheet...

I like the confidence but I would prefer that he keep it to himself.

They are going to want to beat us so bad and be so fired up so beating them there could break them.

The "bulletin board" thing is overblown. Either you're up for a game or you're not. If you need outside motivation, then you didn't have it to begin with.

Yeah, not only did the guy sign an offer sheet with them, he stated that he did not want the Saints to match it.

One of my side joys of football season is watching a total Atlanta collapse.

You can't blame a guy for wanting to start.

I don't blame him for wanting to start, but to trash an organization publicly that you were on the verge of joining a couple of months ago is a bit silly. It isn't like he is riding the bench here, he's going to get plenty of snaps.

He's overcompensating. Just trying to let everyone know he's "all in" as a Saint since he almost went to Atlanta.

He didnt say it like that, he said if you look at the record it speaks for itself. Obviously the Saints are the big brother in the rivalry. And they should have that mindset like usual and go in there and get the win. She even asked if she could quote him.

BINGO, PAT! It is the season opener against your biggest rival. nothing said is going to pump them up anymore than they already will be. I kind of wish we would talk more trash and possibly get into their heads. It could possibly cause them to commit another personal foul or two that they previously wouldn't have. Pick and choose your trash talk, and this is a perfect time to "talk the talk."

It's the NFL. "Bulletin Board Material" is a nonfactor.
